So... I know what you guys are going to say, and the deal was too good to pass up and not at least try them.

I ran across a Icon Stage 3 lift for cheap, so I snagged it. Everything that I read is true, and while it handles well, it rides like crap on the road. It's great for hard hits, but I'm not offroad THAT often, and would prefer better street manners. Also, the squeaks are driving me insane. It doesn't matter how much lube I spray on the leaf springs, within a day or so, it's back to squeaking like an old farm truck.

So my question is... Can I keep the UCA's and just replace the rears with another leaf pack and shock/coilover setup? Or do I need to do an entirely different lift kit? And I'm assuming that a progressive setup would work out better as far as ride quality.

Thanks in advance for any guidance. You guys are the best.

You can get the Icons rebuilt and revalved to your liking, be cheaper and easier than switching them for a new setup.

That I did not know... Can they change them over to a progressive setup?

And that still doesn't solve my squeaking issue, lol. Any advice there?

Lol, that doesn't help the fact that I'm driving a $45,000 pickup truck essentially at this point and it sounds like a $2,500 chebby... I know, I want my cake and I want to eat it too, lol.

Thats just the nature of leaf springs tbh, especially if you do any offroading. They squeak and they creak. Some people put rubber inserts between the leaves to quiet them. If the noise is coming from the bushings then getting greasable bolts for the bushings can help.

My Icon Stage 3 doesn't after 20,000 miles and zero maintenance :notsure:

If it drives you that crazy, replace the leaf pack with another of equal lift. As others have said rebuilding the coilovers would be pretty straight forward.

Thanks for the responses guys, and I might have to look into the grease-able bolts. Wasn't aware of those.

I was in the same boat for a while with my Icons... Squeaky, rode like *ish, required constant lube. Then one day it stopped. No more squeaks and the ride started softening up. Now I'm adding more weight and the ride is even better. Give 'em a chance.

I’ve given them 20,000 miles worth of chance. Lol. I’m not giving up on them. Just seeing if I can maybe help them a little. Honestly the squeak is my main gripe, and I’ll look into the liners! Thanks for that.

I have the icon mini leaf pack and the ride is good with no squeaking, around 1.5 inches of lift

I've have the icon 3 leaf add a leaf for about 7000 miles and haven't heard a single squeak out of them. Did you leave all the shims and torque everything to specs?
