BMW used to have some of the best lighting, wow. Well, I would place the 2 Stroke setup on par with my Wife's CX5 and about as bright a 35w HID in a MH1 projector. For a 120 dollar drop in solution, that is a value. Would I love to have the 50w MD2S setup I had in my JK Wrangler? Yes! Do I want to tear down the housings to cram some RX350 BiX projectors to get closer to that? No!

BTW, using 85W halogen bulbs in a confined housing like the halogen projector could do damage to the housing itself from excess heat and no head spacing for dissipation, it's not the same ball game as the 2015/G2 reflector housing where the bulb glass and reflector are wide open and more forgiving of stacked heat transfer like the confined inside of the factory housing.

As a BMW fan it is pretty embarrassing.

Heat is an understandable concern, I've done the same mod to my fogs which are a much smaller housing that have managed well so far. The fog thread has complete info with temp readings.

If you have to hate a set of projector lights, hate volvo's halogen projectors. It has got to be the shittiest projectors I have ever seen. The bulb shadows are 1/4 of the total lights and it lits up literally 30 feet in front of you. Tacoma projectors, while not the best, is way better than some cars I had.

Most projectors are just begging for better brighter bulbs. Manufacturers don't put them in because it either too expensive or in European cars, you also need wipers, sprayers as the laws dictate. Manufacturers love to squeak by with the cheapest possible options and leave the expensive one for higher trim packages.

Check out the lastest Kias and Huyndais...you'll be surprise how much options you'll get for the same price as everyone else. Not that I'll buy one anytime soon. Quality cars but not my cup of tea.

Im really happy to hear you guys like the 2 strokes. I ordered the Morimoto Elite HIDs from TRS and am not opening the box..sending them right back. I decided I just didn't want to mess with HIDs. Waiting on my 2 strokes and XB Led fogs to arrive.

I did the same thing, was a little upset with the restocking fee but whatever. After looking under the hood with all the wiring and relays that came with the kit I decided I didn't want to deal with non-OEM HID if I could get decent output from these newer LED units.

HIDs are brighter than LEDs. Just saying. However, there's no denying LEDs are "easier" in a number of metrics.

I just installed some LED bulbs into my headlights and foglights. Maybe that would help the visibility problems a bit

Kick on the fogs or DRLs, the signs will light up.
