OK guys, I know this had been beat to death, but I really want some opinions on this from guys who have both and do similar things, live in similar climate, etc.

I can get a set of katzkins for 550 plus shipping right now. Seems like a very good price.

When I saw what some people were paying (1k +) I thought that 550 for front, back and all headrests was a fantastic deal.

The other option is wet okoles, which surprisingly, when adding a logo and gun tote, came out more expensive than the ebay katzkins.

    Here's my dilemma:

I have 2 vehicles. The truck is going to be used pretty much going to be used for work, camping, hunting and fishing. Work usually consists of anither 2-3 sweaty guys riding in my truck so the cloth is going to get soaked.

2nd, it's a lease - long story, but I leased a corolla for my ex of 6 years, we split, she stopped paying the note after a while and I had to repo it. I could and never would drive a corolla if I had the option, and my beater truck was not enough for me anymore. So I sold the old hard body, turned in the corolla and got into a lease on a 15 prerunner without the dealer giving me the banana.

Anyhow, anyone who hunts, fishes, and has a bunch of sweaty workers in their truck with them, what would you recommend? Leather or the wet okoles?

Also, I was thinking that since it's a lease, covers would be better because I could at least remove them before turning the vehicle in at the end.

    Thoughts anyone?

I've been happy with my Wet Okoles after 9 years. In fact I'm going down tomorrow to have a new driver's seat cushion ($50) installed since the bolster area has worn through (9 years!). Seat still looks like new underneath, so they have done a good job of protecting the seat. I'm not that careful about being clean, also I'm in Hawaii a warm sweaty climate and me sitting in that same seat for 143k miles.

I think the Katzkins didn't include a gun tote or logo, so to compare the two pricewise you should compare what the Wet Okoles would cost without those add ons.

That was with the add ons. Wet okoles came out to about 560+ shipping.

I meant make sure each cover comes with similar options when comparing prices. Here's a pic of what my seat cushion looked like after being covered for almost 9 years. Pretty impressive protection.

The wet okoles run a little warm when it's hot and humid outside. It's a noticeable difference from stock. Not drastic, but noticeable.

I have a few thoughts about the WO. You might search to confirm other's experiences.

I think dark colors, especially black hold up pretty good long term. The pockets tend to stretch out over time. The material is just not that stiff and supportive enough imo. I didn't have pockets on the seat backs for just that reason. I don't recall the tote pockets on the front of the seat being an option back then. Plus they tend to fill up with debris. Personally, I'm not a fan of contrasting piping, it tends to look pretty busy, especially in the back seat of the four doors. Use it sparingly. Not sure what logo you are thinking of getting but when I got my covers I was able to delete Toyota Racing Development from the TRD logo. I thought just the TRD alone was enough and from a distance the other lettering was hard to read anyway. The red lettering does fade a bit over time. Here's the way my logo turned out so you know what I'm talking about. This might be an option now and nothing special. They do have some padding to them and will make you sit a shade higher in the seat.

I was really surprised how good the original seat looked.

I have Marathon's too and love them. I'm not a fan of the neoprene seat covers and the Marathons are awesome. I've spilled a full cup of diet Coke on my seats and you would never know by looking at the cover or the seat underneath.

Since it' a lease I'd do wet okole man. Katzkins replace the existing seat fabric and you have to reupholster the seat with them.

Clazzios make a leather seat cover as well that doesn't replace the existing fabric.
