There's another panel above the glove box you need to remove, then you'll have access.

Once you remove the glove box, the panel above it is held on with 3 10mm head bolts. On both sides of that panel there are tabs (red arrow below) that you need to press out to release the panel. Once you drop that panel enough, you have to unplug the glove box lamp connector on the left. On the right are big white connectors, don't need to unplug them, just slide the whole thing that off the panel. Then the wire harness connected to that has a clip that you need to release too. Then you can remove it completely. If it gives you any trouble you just have to mess with it a bit but be careful not to bend the glove box latch bracket too much, the center screw for that black panel is what secures the latch bracket so it'll be loose when you take that bolt out.

EDIT: BTW once you have that panel off, might as well replace the glove box bulb if yours is burnt out. The first time I took mine off I had no idea there was a glove box light. Must have been burnt out for so long that I don't remember ever seeing a light there. Lol

I also removed radio you can see the cross bar there, installed 1/2 x 1/2 insulation strip between the bar and bottom of dash.

I have a rattle right now and it’s coming from the black latch that the glove box hooks onto. The screw rattled out I guess from loud music, bumpy terrain, etc… but I can’t find the screw thread size and I don’t want to cross thread the original hole with the wrong size. I’ve looked at diagrams but I have trouble navigating diagrams because I’m new to this. Any suggestions?
