Yeah that's the same thing I thought. Thanks for the answer and sorry to thread jack. I think your decision on vehicle change is logical, we sometimes have to do what we have to do. My guess is it'll be a good vehicle, and that's what you want your wife to have, for years to come.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Looks like a good buy, my neighbors down the street had one of those for a year (they are the type of family that trade in their car for a new one each year) and they loved it. Great kid-hauler and gets around good in the snow from what I have seen. Best of luck with it! Hope to see you back in a Tacoma soon.

Good thing about the Nissan trucks and SUVs is that they depreciate more quickly, so used Nissans are often better buys than 'Yotas.

Pretty sure those are SilentArmor, not Duratrac, but still very good all-terrain tires!

    Duratrac (L) vs SilentArmor (R)

Family is growing... Carseats didn't fit in our 2006 xterra maybe yours is different. Im 5'7'' and i had to move the seat up almost all the way! Only place was the middle and I still had to move the seats up! Hope you tried the carseats before you bought!

Heck 3 carseats didn't fit in my tacoma dc either

3 barly fit in my 06 4runner, i had to get my wife a honda pilot! It was the only option other than a van!

    good luck!

Really? I had an 05 xterra that I loved that 4.0 has a ton of power. Raised two kids through carseats with it. Finally went to a Yukon as the main family ride, but never had carseat issues with it.

^As with many models, the Xterra grew quite a bit with the redesign in '05. '05 Xterras share the F-Alpha platform with the full-size Titan. '04 Xterra is a lot smaller.

    Blasphemy!!

I hear they are good little trucks though. Make sure you do the timing belt on time, I believe those are interference engines.

I paid 17,500 for mine three years ago. It had 41K on the odometer and brand new tires on it.

I think the Xterra is a nice vehicle. I wanted one a few years back. The test drive kinda turned my wife of, as well as the utilitarian interior...they are very Jeep like in this reguard.

I may still own one someday. Good luck with yours.
