Cool, thanks man. I like the fact that it is not just 1 or 3 little tiny LED's and that it actually fills up the dome light. Does he have a map light too?

BTW I saw he is popular over on IH8MUD

Yeah, that's where I first got turned on to him. I have his Land Cruiser kit in both dome lights and the map light. Crazy bright.

I didn't forget you. Notice how he has made them so you still use the jack point with your Hi-Lift. He includes the mounting hardware too.

Had a kickass time tonight meeting a fellow veteran and TacomaWorld member. Turns out he has family in the area and was in town visiting. We talked Tacoma's for so long that by the time we thought to snap some pictures it was already dark outside.

His Tacoma is Spruce Mica green and looks badass. I'd tag him here but he couldn't remember the spelling of his forum name so I'll let him chime in when he gets a chance.

Right on, the TacomaWorld camaraderie never ceases to amaze me and it was awesome to find more of it standing at my front door tonight. Absolute pleasure meeting both you and your bride and hope to be able to meet up again in the future. Keeping a good thought for a safe return home for you three.

I wasn't joking about the big nerdy list of links as you can see, I update it from time to time but if there is anything you are looking for that we talked about that isn't there let me know.

Thanks for the safe travels thoughts. I will be sure to reach out, I'm already nerding out on the body lift and sound deadening links, lol. I think the body lift is going to the top of the list. I'll keep you posted. I'm not sure how to show links, but here's my attempt at sharing the ipad install link. Keep in mind that he doesn't do it anymore, but there's some good information to reference to fact check some of the wanna be's out there:

Very cool! Not good for me though, as the the ARB for the Tacoma has a different design at the jack points. They are further from the strong part that attaches to the frame too. Oh well. Thanks for the pictures.

Links post has been updated today.

I got to sit underneath a Tacoma ARB bumper and saw what you just told me. He might be able to make something that would work but I'd think it would have to be one piece with both recovery points and something to tie them together, I just don't know if it would obstruct the install of a winch. Hit him up at the address I posted earlier, the guy is old school smart and handy as hell so I reckon that he'd be willing to try to sort out a solution.

Thanks, but I'm good. I'm no fabricator, but I can handle something like this. I tried using the stock recovery point, and it's fine for now. Just annoyingly hard to reach.

Hey GT, I just got the mount, coax and CB in today and I was wondering how you ran the coax from the hood to inside the cab. Did you go through the firewall or outside the door? I'm mounting the antenna on the driver side. 9' coax cable.

I went through the same grommet that the main wire bundle goes through on the drivers side. One thing to make note of is that if you are using the same antenna mount that you will need a Firestik Fire ring coax cable as it has a flat ring that allows the hood to open and close without issue. Other types will protrude too deep and force you to cut the tray.

At home dialysis training today and was just told that they are going to send the machine home with me next week. Excited and apprehensive at the same time. One step closer.

The steps are small but they are moving in he right direction. Instead of doing three, four hour sessions on the big machine in the center I can do four, three hour sessions at home which obviously has the logistical convenience associated with staying home. The primary benefit is that the home machine puts less stress on my heart and lungs leaving me with more energy afterwards. I'll be able to pack dialysis supplies for trips but I have to carry my own dialysate fluid and my prescription calls for sixty liters per session. Anything over a week long and I'd have to start having supplies drop shipped ahead of me so I can replenish en-route as carrying more than a weeks worth will leave no room for passengers.

I still have my weekends free, I just need to hammer out an early Friday session before I go. And like my father used to say, "half of nothing is nothing." Some mobility is better than none so I'll take it.

I've never gotten into a crowd funding project until the first one recently for a friend, but I think this will be my first product based one. Some may have issues with it due to TPMS sensors that may interfere, but in my case with the Hutchinsons I know it won't be an issue.

Felt pretty good after dialysis yesterday so we snuck off to the lake to watch the reflection of the full moon off the water. Last site left is right next to a parking lot. Still having fun.
