I am, spent some time talking to the Norweld people after visiting their site as I'm interested in their "package 6" canopy and at the time thy refused to quote me a price for it and the tray because they were in talks with a possible distributor in the States. Now we know who they were talking to. Waiting to hear back from Mainline with the numbers so I can decide.

Good looking out, I can use all of the good vibes I can get.

Hey GT, good to hear my setup from Shane has ruined you, lol. Mostly because after hanging out with your rig I'm kinda ruined myself. I haven't decided on what I want to do for a camper solution but I'm excited to see pics of your trailer when it comes in.
Good luck with the board, my cousin was lucky enough to get one and is in much better health for it. Cheers, D.

Is this typically necessary for the skid installation?

Prayers headed your way man! Need to keep you healthy so we can keep hanging out at events and I can keep being jealous of your setup!!!

I guess if you decide to go the route and wont need the rear bumper that is being made... I will take it off your hands for a price... or anything else that you may not want!

No, as I'm quite certain that all of the skid manufacturers offer that piece with a built in acomidation for the factory exhaust route. I wanted to make the belly as smooth as possible so I chose that option and did the re-route.

I'm going to have to take a look at my setup I think to see what's going on, but if I'm understanding you correctly your skidplates were custom made to have a smooth belly requiring that you do this reroute?

You are correct. @RelentlessFab has an option on their site when picking out skids for either way. I wanted the bottom to be as flat as possible, so I selected that option. I wanted to re-route the exhaust because I feel that it being below that crossmember is a poor implimentation.

Ok, thanks guys, I didn't realize that!

Edit: I took another look at the Pelfrybilt skids and I see that they mention an option for that. Very cool!

I just smashed my exhaust up and have flat belly skids. It's not required to get it rerouted, just fits better :D

LMAO, well there's always an alternative method to everything. I can't say I haven't considered cutting half the exhaust off before myself.

    Some good news to report.

Last Monday the transplant team reviewed my case and approved me for the kidney transplant list. So now the seven year wait to get onto the list is complete and now the real wait begins.

Heard from the shipping firm today, the trailer is at Long Beach and should be off the ship in a day or so and once it clears customs it will be loaded up and brought to me. Really hoping to have it before the 18th so I can bring it with me to Texas for the holiday.

Good to hear GT. Best of luck to you on both fronts.

So you ended up having the trailer delivered to you via freight from Long Beach? Can't wait to see what you got once it reaches you.

G.T. just happened upon your build thread. I knew that camper shell was nice, but holy cow is it good. Awesome build that I might follow similarly once I get going.

Great to hear you're on the transplant list! My best friend just received a new liver 3 weeks ago. She had been on the list since we graduated high school. I hope you're lucky enough to get one soon as it is such a game changer and new lease on life.

The FlipPac completely changed how our family truck camps. We get out more frequently because of it as well because it's so easy to setup and take down.

Being on the list is huge to me, and once I get the transplant I will finally be able to stop being tethered to a dialysis machine as well as stuck inside the invisible fence that keeps me within a certain distance of the hospital at all times.

This truck and log is amazing. Congrats on the medical news man. I've had some issues myself with a kidney recently but no where near at the level you are. I live on Scott at my sisters place watching her kids while shes deployed. Im former Army myself (OIF III & OIF V). One day if you are not busy I would love to meet up to talk Tacomas and to see this majestic offroad beast.

First, thanks for rucking up. I'm grateful for all who have.

Thanks for the compliment. I can humbly and gratefully state that this project would be nowhere near where it is today without TacomaWorld. From the attention to detail that our fellow members put into their modification and upgrade posts, to the camaraderie of members getting together to help each other get work done. I can say without doubt that I have formed genuine friendships with people here that share the common interests of Passion for off-roading, adventure travel, and Toyota trucks.

Kidney disease is no joke, until this whirlwind of "end stage renal failure" got started I never realized how much work the kidneys really do. And as grateful as I am for all the help I'm getting from the medical community, I really am ready to be free from it so I can start roaming the continent with my family and friends.

I will be at my shop south of the base today sometime after noon. I need to meet @ChandlerDOOM there to get a few things done on his project and drop my LandCruiser back off as my driveway at my house is overflowing with Toyota trucks.
