When you check the Toyota Owners VIN tool, be sure to look at the options. It will likely read "base" someplace up top -- they all start that way. The SR5 or whatever will be listed below that in the options section.

Message me the Vin and I can decode it using the factory database straight from Toyota.

Do you have a power outlet in your bed? TRD Sport and TRD Off Roads all came with a power outlet in the bed. SR5 did not.

When you’re shopping, you should look for stuff for a Prerunner/4wd. They both use the same suspension. Lots of good options out there depending on your budget

Do you have an outlet in the bed? If so, it's a sport. If not, it's an sr5 with sport wheels, hood, and grille.

Agreed. At the very least, jack the front end up and let the suspension sag, then twist them counter clockwise, and remove them. Of course, that may mess up your front end alignment. I'm not a fan of them.
Those are truly, in my opinion, the worst form of a lift you can install.

The LSD in '06 is mechanical.

I was under the impression from all the reading I have done here over the years is that a base model has five lugs. A prerunner has six and sits more like the four-wheel drive than the base model.

I don't think any of the suspension components are interchangeable between the two. So if you have six lugs you have an easy choice.
