Well in late November, I had my frame inspected and it had some decent rust and they approved the frame replacement and parts were on order and they said it would be 2months ish to get parts and all in so I figured I could push back my move to TN from TX and wait until my truck was finished. Well fast forward to a week ago and the shop foreman at the dealership said that no parts had been received yet and that once all the parts got there, it could take them up to 6 months to complete my truck since they won't know what all they have to actually replace until they get in there. I can't wait that long so I had to cancel them ordering parts and he said that they couldn't transfer everything to the new dealership and that I would have to get everything re inspected and completely start the process over at the new dealership. I am pretty bummed about it and am going to try and reach the toyota customer experience line tomorrow about trying to have everything transferred to the new dealership where I will be moving. Any thoughts or has anyone dealt with a situation like this? Wish I could get it done then move but I have to move by march.

Some of this Some of that
Try a different dealership. All they should have to do Is inspect the frame, fail it, and order parts/ swap them. I had my truck done in 5 wks. Call up toyota corporate and get you case #, and bring it with you to the other dealer.

They did my truck in 2-3 days...can't believe they told you it would take so long. I did have to wait 2 weeks for the frame to come in though.

Good luck. It sounds like you are better off going to a different stealership anyway. If they aren't fully sure what needs to be purchased and only want to replace the bare minimum, they probably have not done too many of these before. I have heard many stories on here about folks that underwent the frame replacement only to have serious issues down the road when bolts and wires were incorrectly installed or forgotten about altogether.

get a good dealer that has done a ton of these before. Mine was done by a great dealer that replaced almost everything under the body of the truck because he knew he could and would rather work with new parts when putting something back together.
