    No they are unmanned. Paratroopers parachute in after the heavy drops and then recover the vehicles. They do flip sometimes, sometimes the chutes malfunction and then the vehicles burn in. Plenty of videos on youtube.

    lol at the runaway truck. :p The para-jumper at the end made me cringe. I have done that once... hit a damn tractor in the middle of the field. though i was trying to aim for the trailer on the back of it. :rolleyes:

    When we can get them to fly...they spend a lot of time broke...just too big and too many systems to go wrong. That's why they're nick named FRED...F'in Ridiculous Economic Disaster; and why the only company in the world that can afford to fly them is the American taxpayer...any commercial company would go out of business.

    Been that way for years....when I was stationed in the UK in the '90s, we had a requirement to launch two C5s a day for about a month. To make that happen, had to stage five of them into the airfield...and some days we still only got one airborne.

    Still an Awesome Capability and Asset when they're not sitting on the ramp broken and waiting for parts.

    PIAA ion yellow fogs stay on all time,aux reverse lights, aux lights, camper with rack, cb, air bags, on board air, aux fuse box, aux batt, CAI, etc.............
    Happens all the time. nobody inside them. Google it; there are some crazy videos out there. But nothing like landing next to one that the chute fail to deploy. Miss those days.
