Those expectations could almost be met.

Tesla Semi is suppose to have a range of 500 miles. Should be able to tow more than 32k. It probably won’t have a 10 year warranty but Tesla give like a 8 year drivetrain and battery warranty. Charge time would be the greatest challenge. And I have no clue how long it would take to charge their batteries.

For a trucking company to use electric trucks, they would need to have a recharged tractor waiting every 500 miles to finish the run.

Same time as the cars. Uses 4 or 6 super chargers though.

The Tesla also costs$200k and has huge batteries. It's not a comparison to this truck.

There is a reason you haven't seen a Tesla Semi yet, nor will you see one for awhile.

Production is set to start this year. Whether or not that gets delay we’ll see. But all I’m saying is the tech isn’t that far out.

Why not? The physics and math work out and there are even prototypes driving around.

The word Tesla is similar to Ridgeline, say it and be prepared for TW excitement.

Whether Tesla survives or not, the technology behind electric vehicles will continue.

The real race is towards autonomous machinery, and electric vehicles work best with autonomous software.

The internal combustion engines days are numbered.

    In my opinion.....

I would think an electric semi would be good for moving stuff around shipping ports or in small cities.

The math works sure. But it's like the math works using 100% efficient, or negating friction or making a coefficient 1. The absolute most optimistic way.
I am excited as you can see I even posted a link above, but I also am realistic and very few (read zero) applications are ever at the top end of performance.

Motors can run just fine under water. In fact the electric will help wading because sucking water into the intake isn't a thing anymore. That wading depth is the only part that is realistic.

I don’t like the “subscription” terminology. What exactly does that even mean? I have to subscribe to their specific recharge stations or to their maintenance services?
