I'd sure like to see one in person. Dealer got one in presold and customer picked up within hours of being unloaded off truck and time they called.me it was gone .

The manual thing. It must be a novelty for the newer generation. Every car I owned was stick and off course so was my YJ. Every damn article in every 4wheeling magazine in the 80’s and 90’s talked about how AT’s will be game changers for rock crawling. If you desire to have a manual just because you get slightly taller gears I can dig it I guess. But more than likely you like to say you drive a manual which is hilarious to me. How hard has life been that you need to profess you are the rare individual that drives a manual. For fucks sake we all had to drive manuals in 4X4’s just 20 years ago. Find something else to set yourself apart

Dealers will typically kill you on a 3-pedal vehicle when it comes to trade-in time. Unlike European drivers us lazy American’s will only purchase slush box transmissions. Unfortunately the manual transmission is going the way of the Do-Do bird in this country:(

So funny. I jokingly ribbed OP for having 2 pedals instead of 3 (while telling him I thought his truck was awesome) and it's come to this.

You guys have an awful lot of butt hurt and hate. Must be those erratic shift points making ya all cranky

man I love this color. If I hadn’t modded the crap out of my cement (which I also really like), I would seriously consider trading.

    you done good.

Hey you can rib all you want. I didn’t think anything you said got anybody butt hurt. I just find it funny how driving a manual is a thing of pride. Drive what you want. I can tell you with 20+ years in the same career that’s not in a cubicle and still having pre pubescent kids, I got a lot more shit to complain about than what type of transmission I drive. The point is I am happy to have an auto. The adaptive cruise control for one is a game changer as it allows me to start to unwind on my commute back home. In other words your coveted manual was the STANDARD in 4X4 vehicles when I was of driving age. WE ALL DROVE THEM. I am thankful to drive an auto transmission now. And if your manual is the coolest thing since sliced bread for you I think that’s good too. Life changes bro and whether you drive a manual or not won’t even pop into your head. I just find it funny when all these kids (maybe I am speculating but I don’t think so) spout off about having a manual like it’s a new thing. I’m a man I don’t get butt with other guys. I have to deal with my passive aggressive wife all day. So I hope you don’t feel like I was just directing that comment at you it’s just something I’ve noticed on TW. I just like to learn about my truck on here since it’s my first toyota

Yeah. Sounds like I'm more in your category. I got my first manual in the 80s and I've had a mess of 'em since. I'm sad to see them go, but I certainly don't fault anyone for wanting an AT.

btw... unless I'm mistaken, the new MTs have adaptive cruise as well

I feel like that has more chartruese in it where the army green is a little more foresty.

That's a sweet pot, btw (though it looks like aluminum). I have a small collection of old cast iron pots in various sweet 50s colors.

I don't know for sure, but I imagine if you slow down too much in a particular gear, it's the same as if you push in the clutch (cruise just shuts off/ pauses)

I imagine the variance is less because you're in one gear, but it might actually be nice because you'd notice if you were slowing down too much.

I like the color if I was on the east coast (all the green stuff), I prefer the tan out here in the desert. Those new decals make it look like a transformer
