Like many others I've had condensation show up in my halos... first real rain was yesterday and I had water swishing around in the bottom... folks I got 'em from (Revotec on Ebay) are exchanging them out... Thought ya'll might be interested in what they just said about installation....Excuse THEIR spelling and grammar, not mine....;)
All headlights are make of plastic now, that allos moisture to diffuse through them, not just inward, but also outward. The lens of the ellipsoid principle headlights in heated in the middle by the bulbs, whereas the outer part of the lens is virtually at the ambient temperature due to the cooling effect of airflow. This can lead to condensation forming, but if it is minor, it is normal, it happens to factory OE headlight too, and usually durring morning, evening , and wet weathers. For this very reason, headlights are not completely airtight. We recommend you to install the replacement under room temperature, make sure all bulb's rubber sleaer are not worn out and all ventilation path"L-shaped" rubber path is always pointing to 6 o'clock position, so that the water won't get into the lights. Install under room temperature is very improtant, and if possible, after installed, try to talk out the bulbs and run the engin for few mins, then put all bulbs& sockets back on, that will helps too.
