Good looking step rails. Are they strong enough to put a jack under and lift the truck?

I been looking for some rails as well, wanted something simple and those look fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Did they come flat black or did you paint them?

Yeah, I painted them myself cause the quotes I got for powdercoating were more than I wanted to spend right now.

No rubbing issues at all w/ my current setup. I even clear the mudflaps at full lock. So I'm really pleased with it. I only had to trim a super small amount of black plastic from the inner fender well on the front wells.
    Seen here (sorta):

    Congrats! You'll love em.

Probably but I have no idea. Email Brandon @ AVID, he'd be able to shed some light on the situation. :)

They came as bare metal. I primed and painted them myself w/ Industrial spray paint. $10/can wasn't cheap but was way cheaper than powdercoating.

Thanks to everyone else... I appriciate all the positive comments & questions. ;) Feel free to keep em coming.

    Thanks,
    Nathan

Great pics. I've been trying to decide which route to go, and your pics helped me make up my mind. I called Brandon this afternoon and just ordered mine. Now I'll just have to decide what flavor of black paint I want to use.

    TRD skid painted black,

I had N-Fabs on my 09 and they do look like them but Avid's mounting is much better in my opinion.

Those look awesome! I am thinking my next mod will be sliders. can't decide on the "steps" version or the long sliders. My powder coat guy did my rims for $50 each so I can't see sliders going for much more than $150 - $200 for both?

Man I just have to say I love your pics and def decided on these rails now. :) Think I will get the front bar at the same time and get them powder coated...

Just wondering how much powder coating will set me back, getting some estimates.

might be a little late to the party, but I just ordered mine after seeing these...man, those look great! Would a bed-liner type material be good for covering them?

I used herculiner on mine. So far they've held up great but only been on a few months.

@OP your truck looks great. I love those gunmetal FJ wheels on the SSM color. I just wish I could afford a set :(

I found that Line-X (a spray in bed liner company) was the most expensive option because they needed to sandblast them before they could apply the line-x.
I think the spray in bed liner would probably be the most durable as opposed to powder coating or painting them yourself (like I did). I guess i
it all depends on your budget.;)

Thank for all the other replies. It is fun to hear from people who have them and I've read some good questionsfrom people who dont. Keep em coming people.:)

Thanks! If I ever sell this truck I may just have to pull the wheels off and sell them so somebody else can enjoy them as much as I have. But for now I love my taco.

I believe they should come with all you need to bolt them down. Mine were wrapped in plastic with a plastic baggy hanging on one that had stickers and the bolts if I remember correctly.

    A couple questions:

First, where do yall recommend I try to find someone to paint these? I'd like to have them powdercoated, but I honestly don't have any idea where to go to get it done. Any suggestions?

Second, is shipping odd? With these being so long, I see the drop off as being complicated. I suppose I could just have them dropped by the office, but I was just wondering. And, I didn't see anywhere to find out the shipping estimate. How much are they typically?

Thanks for any and all help.
