Recently (december) registered my taco in BC. I was quoted around $1800 (for the year) before I bought the truck. When it came down to it, I was charged $2400  for the year.

I was getting 20% discount for 4 accident free driving years in BC. If I could prove I was a good driver in Saskatchewan, I could receive more discount. (Every claim free year you get +5% discount).

Long story short, I ended up calling ICBC and the very helpful representative said, oh there was a mistake and you should be receiving 40% discount for 8 full years of claim free driving.

So i'm getting a refund! :yay:

Already bought the all pro rear tube bumper (its in the mail next week) so this'll definitely help with that

You have just inspired me to check with my car insurance company if I’m eligible for a similar windfall :)

    Canada Eh!
I just switched from TD General to Aviva. $2400/yr vs. $1800/yr plus better coverage. Aviva is great for under 25 drivers as I have found out. Too bad it took me this long!

You have to get your core insurance in BC from ICBC , the only part you can get privately is your comprehensive and collision .
