I just saw a RC 2013 and man I was three weeks early!!! ARGH

The 2013 has a "stock" stereo as the 6.1" touch screen with integrated BT and Aux USB jack...

Nope found it right on Toyotas web page...

Now I have to figure out if I want an aftermarket HU or try and find a retro 6.1"

Esp when the sales guy who is a friend told me he didn't think they were going to change anything, at least not on the RC base models, lol...

I was delighted to find through it DID NOT have pre-wired fog light wiring, Lol...

I had to redeem myself somehow!

 

Change is gonna happen.... Let it go.

 

No pictures on the site showing the 6.1 touchscreen. Checked the 360 view and regular pictures.

Maybe it will be fugly and you would not want it anyways.

Give me real hard buttons I do not want a touch screen expensive when it breaks and you cannot use tactile feel while keeping your eyes on the road.

dude, don't even worry about it. it seems like the new touch screen is hot shit right now but in a few months folks will be talking about it's limitations. look at the entune system in the 2012. it's pretty but under the skin the girl's got issues. he '12 stereo is pretty good as far as stock systems go and you can upgrade to something even better with hd and DVD and nav and other bells/whistles. i hear what your saying, 'it would be nice', but really it's not all that.

 

I hear the 2014's will come with a 9000 series Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer instead of a cd player
