For me,what you do with your money is exactly that..YOUR money. Now,I'm gay,so maybe it's different as I have a girlfriend and not the opposite sex lol BUT,the same thing still applies. We both make a decent amount of money a month (she's active duty Navy for 10 years,I just started as a Deputy Sheriff a few months back),but we don't have a shared account and we've been together a couple of years. All bills get split down the middle,our animals get what they need,and if we want to do extra activities together,we can decide who pays for what at that time. Simple. She never questions why I bought what I did and how much it cost,and vice versa. Has worked out wonderfully for us lol
