I know a guy that has one of those signs hanging above his sofa. After a company get together last year it was painfully apparent that the wife wears the pants in that house.

Not saying anyone's right or wrong (that's your business), but since you shared, I'll say that the vibe that this gives off is that your toys are more important than hers. Here's what I mean: Putting off coffee truck - fine. Paying off vehicles - fine. Kids in school - fine. But then you go and spend X amount on mods (which by their nature are extraneous)? That's the part that makes me go, ah... his wife may have a point. But again, that's your business and I ain't here to judge.

But hey, I get it. I put off a lot of goodies the past few years so that we could do a multi-hundred-k remodel and buy new furniture and whatnot. But those were decisions we made together and I'm ok with them for any number of reasons which people here will immediately shit on so whatever. But we now have a kick-ass house and I still got the truck and a recently picked up a Q7 as well, so it all worked out, it just took a few years longer than if I had thrown a hissy fit about the whole thing.

OK taco largo, what's you review of the ADS 2.5s? And did you go bypass in the back and coilover in the front? Offroad andonroad observations?

Poverty is the answer to a long marriage!

When we were first married at age 19 I was a student and not working, and she worked at Woolco making about $50/week.

Her first paycheck she thought she was going to spend for herself. I pointed out someone has to pay our $7 electric bill, $3 phone bill, $66 rent.

Since then all of our money goes into a joint account. She does not want anything to do with bills or budgeting, leaving it all up to me. If I try to talk to her about a financial situation, she does not want to hear it.

If I want something like a Taco , we argue about it and eventually she says "do what you want, you always do anyway".

We will be happily married 48 years in November.

Except when she tries to take any withdrawals or name anyone but you as beneficiary, then she needs your "permission/consent" ;)
