Hi folks,I'm going to be needing new tires for my 15 in about 4,000 miles or so. No I don't do ANY trailing just keep it nice and clean, but Iwant a kewl looking tire. Do you think I'll regret getting them because of the ride. I do however need good snow tires in the winter. Thank you in advance happy safe, and healthy new year.

There are better options if you want a meaty tire that is capable in the snow.

Look at the Goodyear Duratrac and the Cooper ST-Maxx. The Goodyear can be found in a C load rating which would be a better fit for you than an E load rating.

Before I started wheeling I ran Duratracs. They have an agressive look and are great in the snow. If I didn’t need a tire with a stout sidewall, that’s what I’d go with.

Goodyear Authorities are a less expensive option, that I also had great luck with in the snow.

Goodyear Duratrac are good in the snow for the first 5k maybe 10k miles but after that they start to suck in the snow. I’ve had great luck with my BFG at ko2’s In the snow. 3rd year now and they are still great after about 25k miles.

My KO2s (c load) are great in the snow and have good road manners as well.

I have had the same experience with two sets of duratracs on two different rigs.

Do you have the 16 or 17” wheels? I love my ko2s (load C). They get compliments often and I think they look badass. I’ve had them in the snow a couple times and I thought they were fine but I don’t drive in the white stuff often enough to give much feedback. They aren’t loud and are very well mannered on the road.

North Idaho snow levels here. One work truck has BFG KO2s, the other two have duratracs. I personally went with Falken Wild-peak at3w tires. No regrets, better than the others in snow and ice at least...

For a daily driver, FALKEN A/T3W is winter rated and I believe comes in a P and LT tire.

I too have Falken AT3W's and LOVE them. So far they have really impressed me in every condition I've encountered. Undoubtedly the best bang for your buck tire wise at the moment.

The KO2 does come in C load in 265/70/17 but not in 265/75/16.
To OP,For some reason the KO2 in E load feel more stiff than the original KO I had. I want to switch to C load but I have 25K on these and about half life.
Get them in C load if you can.

I've been running KO2 load E for approximately 28K miles now; it is a little stiff (I'm use to load C), but I sometimes tow. I like it in snow and fire roads; not a big rock/off road user, so can not report on that. I seen a lot of the game warden and ranger vehicles run them, so I guess if I'm running the same roads as them, it will probably be okay for me.
