I would for sure get an estimate from a body shop. I’ve had fenders hit where it was fixed perfect. You have to get over the fact that all repairs and not replacements will have a skim coat of body filler. The metal is so thin on modern vehicles that there’s hardly anything to sand. A pro shop will make it as good as new and it will never chip or crack. Go call the local Ferrari dealer and ask where they get them repaired. That’s the shop to see.

I had similar damage and the shop re skined my door.

I chose not to give it to insurance and thus it won't appear on CarFax (another reason CarFax is not the end all)

All the VIN and other markings stayed in place, because they are on the frame that was reused, not the skin that was replaced.

Just an option to consider as you work it out with your body shop guy.

Isn't the black a mica paint? That will require blending into surrounding panels. Mine was Super white, so no blend required.

Agree with others who say might just want to replace the door sadly the scratches look deep and a paint repair would probably need to include sanding it down etc

You don't need a whole door replacement, just a skin. Prolly looking at $1500 give or take.

Any body shop can fix that door like new. Their going to use a stud welder to pull those dents. Once close its a matter sanding and applying filler before painting. Some shops are very reasonable. I saw one not long ago charge just under $600 to do a dented door as such.

I would get one of those trail rated badges of a Jeep and put it on the damaged door then find a Jeep to park next to.
