I'm thinking about buying a small bottle of glow in the dark paint and pick up a small artist paint brush to paint the line on the knob. I know what you mean... you cannot see the line on the knob. Aggravating to say the least!

Maybe put "TRD" instead, or a small Toyota logo. Charge more for the option to choose.

    :)
I agree there's probably a demand for that. And I'm fine with not engraving anything on the face, but I'm not cool with putting another company's logo on my product... Unless TRD calls up and wants us to be a private label supplier :)

You're probably right about the Toyota logo...I'd be OK with TRD, specially if the font is different. Think of all the decal guys. But your call. Look forward to getting a pair.

On the head unit itself there's the center post that actually rotates, and around that is a black plastic tube that sticks out around the post. On the non-nav versions that plastic surround isn't there, it's just the rotating post. So I need the OD of that to make sure the knob can fit over it. I'm calling it the support tube because I think it's there to stabilize the knob.

Looks pretty good, gives it a whole look a more rugged feel.

I'm not an engineer but I don't think the rings actually support or brace the knob as each knob pushes in about 1/8"....But I don't know for sure.

Maybe they act as a stop to keep the knob from being pushed in too far?

Here is my knob...I have a white felt "spacer" in the bottom to bring the knob up off the face of the radio so I can actually grip it.
