So after making the vent ring phone mount, I got frustrated with the charging cord always falling off the edge of the dash bezel. So I made some clips that snap in and keep the cord contained. As with the radio knobs, these are just a little convenience I thought other people might like.

Oof. I love your stuff Wiley, I really do. I read the post, considered that it would be neat to get my cord up and out of the way and I went to the site to purchase.
25 bucks is tough to swallow for it.... Good luck with this one, it looks like a neat design.

Oops. My mistake. It's supposed to be $21. Still not pennies, but with the discount that comes to $18.90 I think. And free shipping. Pricing is based on machine and assembly time.

I mean, Hondo is selling a 4 pack for $21 ($18.90 with discount) and for 4 of those is $31.96

Did you notice those are 20 pieces per "unit"?

Relocate the Qi Charging mat to go behind the ram mount and you have yourself a winner.

Just for clarification, as I'm not intending to argue the point but merely to state what potential customers may wonder.
    • Either of the items references come with 20 pieces to a bag, so there's PLENTY with either to perform quite a long run.
    • Adhesive is VHB tape pre-applied. Something we're all quite familiar with using.
    • The smaller ones are sized well for a microUSB charger cord. Opening is a couple mm. Width/depth is 9.4mm x 14mm.
    • The larger ones do serve well for larger or multiple cords, or for ease of cord removal.

There's an image of the larger ones in use in my phone mount writeup if anyone's interested.

Reviews on the Amazon clips seem to be pretty poor in terms of adhesive strength/longevity against weather conditions

*shrug* Mine have been fine. I don't get a lot of weather conditions inside the truck. Tough to assess the reports as it's difficult to know if poor adhesion was user error or not. VHB tape is good in most conditions if applied to appropriate, clean surfaces.

Legit @wileydavis !!! I like the fact that these clips are pressure fit rather than using adhesive.

I would totally rock a set, but how are you guys getting a different price than $21?

Hell yeah dude, this is awesome! I live in a hot, humid environment; sticky tape doesn't last for shit here on the interior. 21 bucks to avoid the hassle is more than worth it.
