Hondogarage makes cool shot for our Tacos, here in the USA. Plastic may be cheaper, but I'll gladly pay $10 more for us superior product, made by a person who supports our platform. That's just good small business economics.

Lots of ideas. Tablet mount will be up for preorder later today or early tomorrow. Got a cb mic hanger attachment for the unholey dash mount in the prototype stage. And a bunch of other stuff. And one bigger overlanding related project. Lots to do

For you naysayers that want to order bulk plastic clips, I'd say the Hondo Garage clips are way superior. Not only are they made from AL they clip into the trim ring. That alone beats some plastic part with an adhesive backing that most likely has fake 3M tape. Plus purchasing from a TW member goes a long way in helping this community keep on thriving.

Reviews are usually a good indication. I'd rather support the community here than cheap products from China

Fixed. Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't. Sometimes the problem is the product, sometimes the problem is the end-user not reading instructions or otherwise not using the product properly. Surely you've been around the world of online reviews long enough to know that truth. What I do know is that the clips I used are working just fine for me. I also ensured the surface was clean and free of any stuff like dust or 303 protectant or similar.

Anyway, no need for you to feel you need to justify to the forum how you choose to spend your money. There's not a single thing wrong with choosing @wileydavis' product if that's what you feel best meets your needs.

(as for China, I didn't check the country of manufacture, but they shipped from Amazon's warehouse and delivered in two days last year)

I'm not sure. I got it for Christmas in a bundle of USB cords. Not helpful, I know.

No worries, it was just that the quality of the cord seemed tough.

Alright......got my cord holders in the mail last night and I'm trying to "install" them now.

First off, they are held in place by friction and they sort of wedge between the dash and radio surround. Because of this I can't space them evenly as the middle clip doesn't stay in place then it's in the middle of the radio bezel.

I've watched the install video a bunch and I still have no idea how the big clip is supposed to hold in place. Maybe hondogarages radio is different than mine because this largest clip guy doesn't have a chance of fitting my dash.

I was excited but I dunno

The middle clip doesn't get centered. The two left clips are meant to be closer together near where the cord gets plugged and unplugged frequently. The bezel isn't parallel to the dash so you can adjust how tight they're wedged in by moving them left or right a bit.

As for the bottom (big) clip, here's a photo. It's possible the spacing is different between trims, in which case I'd love to know.

Thanks for the quick reply. We definitely have something different going on between our dashes. Mine has a rubberized cloth type stuff and yours is hard plastic.

On my dash there is too large of a gap between the dash plastic and the radio bezel for the clip to have enough friction to hold in place.

So maybe the bezel gets spaced out farther there. Any chance you could grab a measurement between the point on the dash (looks the same on both trims) and the backside of the bezel? I'll grab some more measurements to confirm at the dealership tomorrow and change the design asap.
