Thats what Im trying to figure out. Just how much of a hit will I take, and is it worth it? I KNOW Ill take a hit. But how much? And thats what will probably be the deciding factor. After all, I don't think a locker will cost me more than around 1500$ to install.

I would not even begin to guess at CA prices etc but if the numbers look right "TO ME" I would do it I really wish I had gotten the off road instead of the sport and have most of what I would like be factory not something I had to add in and worry over .

TW is a great place. Lots of great guys and gals here. Lots of folks with really good senses of humor. You can post something like I did, and get a multitude of answers. Many funny, some actually helpful, and some totally obvious. Its all good.

Yes but you know no one can answer your question but you. If you think I am wrong go tell your wife that a guy on TW made you decide to keep it or trade it and look at her expression.

Or add the $1500 as downpayment on an OR along with your trade.

OP hope you don't think I am giving you a hard time. I am not. I understand you deciding you like another truck better but we can't help you decide. Out of curosity why didnt you test drive an off road before you bought your sport. That would have been the time to compare the 2. Not after you bought one.

Half the people that have rear lockers or think they need one will never use them or need to.

You are 100 percent correct. I have the off road and will probably never use it and definitely hope I don't have to use it because if I need it I am getting in a world of hurt.

I wanted a LB and Magnetic Grey. And the only truck in that combo, in the entire state, was the one I bought. And Ill be honest, I thought the sport had all the stuff the OR did, it wasn't till Id already bought it that I realized it didn't.
    So, ya. My bad.

A-trac works well...if you need the rear locker you are in Moab.

As You can see I like the MGM also I own one in a TRDOR. I always buy the off road and Never consider the others even tho they are all good trucks.

The Loaner Truck is considered a used vehicle, so it could not hurt for you to talk with the sales person to see what kind of cash difference they would want.
