How about working on one of those crab boats in Alaska? You have the boat experience and could knock down some serious cash in a few months.

during my 5 years of working on the boats I used to do seasonal stuff during the off season. Check all the Christmas Tree lots. Most open the day after thanksgiving and if you have work ethic you can work will New Years. After that its only a few more months until youll be fishing again.

Being I worked out of SD I also got in on a lot of Mexico Rock Cod trips all winter which really helped too. Great side money on those trips and its easy work.
