Hey y'all, I'm lookin to get my first Taco and have wanted on for years. I'm looking at this one on Craigslist.

    http://elmira.craigslist.org/cto/2773341548.html

    What do you think?

Ive been on other cars forums and they usually have a common issues thread or a things to look for type of thread when youre looking at being prepared when looking at buying used. You know, like what to pay attention to and look for.

Id appreciate any advice you can give me too!

Thanks in advance for your time!

    Have a great new year!

Never hurts to shop around. These trucks are nice and hold their value very well.

It's a nice truck, and I didn't see ”price non negotiable” on the ad. The miles are a bit high though. I just got a base double cab same year with 71k for the same price. Good luck!

Aren't there any issues or quirky problems with things in the truck that are common in the 05?

    So fellas...

I finally narrowed it down to this one...

    http://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/2787932387.html

I only got a chance to just drive it briefly last time I was there because I noticed it needed a drivers front wheel bearing BADDDD, so I didnt continue the drive. I jacked it up and did the 6/12oclock method pullin on the wheel to look for play and boyyyy did it have alot of play. Well, he got it fixed and it's about a 3 hour drive both ways so I definitely want to check it out thorough before I buy it. I'm going out there Saturday and am wondering what you think I should check on it? Like did the 2005s have certain issues or anything?

First and foremost, it looks like he has in coil spacers on the front and blocks in the rear. He says its a 3inch kit but isnt sure of the brand...

What's your opinion on that method of lift, and do you think it contributed to the wheel bearing going??

Also is there a trick getting it into 4 low? I drove a different 05 and it wouldn't stop flashing.

Also, how would I properly test the locker?

Lastly, what maintenance should it have had done by 130k?

It's an 05 auto v6 trd access cab with about 130k.

Thanks in advance for your time fellas!
