I Need Advice

Monday at 4:45 AM on my way to work a deer ran out in front of me. Unavoidable, things happen I know. My question to all of you is this, I want to rebuild it, several people have told me I'm crazy, it's not worth it, insurance is just gonna total it, yadda yadda. I love my truck, an 07 Tacoma Prerunner 4L V6 with only 91k on it. Due to my financial situation after just buying a home last year there is no way I can afford to buy a new one with the current interest rates and just the way the world is going at the moment. I think its worth it personally, I haven't received my estimate yet from the insurance company but being hopeful and optimistic, with more or less than 10k$ and searching for the parts.

So the parts I've already been looking up are:
Radiator
Radiator Support
Bumper Cover
Hood
Both Fenders
Inner Wheel Fenders
Air Bag
Water Pump
Fan
Brackets & Clips
A Large Can of Personal Hope
I have the OEM factory Grill & Headlights in my garage so thats 1 plus.

Not sure where you are located, as far as rust and corrosion it might have, But looking at the pics, it looks rebuildable to me.
Did the air bag deploy?

 

So what is the question? What parts should you buy or should you just let insurance pay you and you move on to a new ride?

 

Im located in Southern Il, not far from ST. Louis.Yes the airbag did deploy, but I have already priced a new one on ebay for about 600$. Theres a little corrosion and rust but I have been fixing that because I have a new exhaust in living room (Flow Master) I was going to put on but kinda doing rust prevention treatment underneath before I put it on.

 

I’d be looking at ways to sell it for parts and roll any insurance money up to a newer 2nd gen (2014-15) and mourn the loss.
