What if I wanted to remove everything that deals with towing. Because I had some run in where others said check that tow plug to see if it’s dirty to clean it and re plug it. Supposedly even dirty connections causes to pop fuses…

Well, i never did get to my multi meter yet. So, I only tested fuses as of right now till I have time to take apart the truck with bed off everything to re trace back all the wirings. See if I damaged wires. So I’m not insulted lol if you break it you fix it. How else are we gonna learn about our trucks .. js..

I wouldn’t pull the bed off until you get power to the Tail fuse. No reason to.
Not unless you are blowing the fuse instantly. But you should still be getting power to the fuse even if it’s blown, you just won’t have power to both sides of the fuse.

Okay so when I check with the multi meter, just probe both sides of the fuse to see if one side is getting power and other side nothing?

When I did it with the continuity “ cheapy light up one “ it doesn’t light it up for both sides of the fuse.

I prefer a test light to test fuses.
When checking with a multimeter the black lead will need to be grounded. The red lead to the fuse. Is this how you checked the fuse?

I don’t use continuity to check fuses.
Just because there is continuity doesn’t mean it can carry current.
