i have both google chrome and IE, when i hit the back button on IE nothing happens, when i hit the back button on google chrome it opens up a new tab with the page i just hit back for, same with the refresh button. this laptop is only a month old, oh and my antivirus said that it cannot resume subscription due to a inaccurate automatic update code. any ideas? ill prolly take it back to best buy tomorrow

definetly check for a virus, and other shenanigans.

Run super antispyware, malwarebytes antimalware, and finally do a quick reg cleanup and temp cleanup using ccleaner, also using ccleaner delete any unnecessary programs.

Not trying to say Mr alphaecho is wrong, i just dont like avast, i use the above combination on customers rigs daily.

avast is still a free alternative to buying a subscription if you ever find yourself at that point. Glad it worked out for you.
