I need new rotors

    Depends what you want.

    Centric rotors with posi quiet pads is a great OE type replacement. If you want a bit more responsive brakes you could look at Stop Tech or EBC.
    I have EBC sport rotors and green pads on my truck, I've been happy with them so far.

    Centric makes the rotors and pads for Toyota, and Stop Tech makes the TRD big brake kits just FYI.

    *At least that's what I was told by our Centric rep. And centric owns Stop Tech, that's their performance line.*

    powerstop drilled and slotted. best rotor i have ever put on. all of our customers love them. no dust. no rust. doesnt heat up as much which means no warping. u get more then what u pay for.

    Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
    Just my $0.02 but I would just stick with OEM rotors and pads/shoes but again, that's just me.

    If the originals have lasted this long then you really can't go wrong with them.

    I got 120,000 miles on my OEM original pads/rotors in hilly western Pennsylvania. No complaints with the braking system on my truck whatsoever.

    get the z36 kit under the heavy duty option. got these when i had to replace my calipers and i love em. they're also coated so they don't rust and look like crap every time it rains. keep in mind if you're replacing rotors you might as well throw out your pads and get new ones so everything seats to each other nice and snug like.

    You very well could be correct. I don't know where to look to validate any info on who makes the stock parts.

    This will be an unpopular statement, but these trucks are not sports cars. Keep the brakes OEM. They work well, have good longevity and don't seem to suffer from warpage.

    I am looking to replace the stock rotor on my 2016 Tacoma at ~30,000 miles. The truck has had a pretty easy life so far. But one of the rotors has warped. I hope others have your experience (no warped rotors) and not mine.

    Oem is usually good stuff for our trucks but it’s not cheap.
    I got the powerstop kit and have been pleased. Price is I think is about the same as the parts stores.
    The wear in process can be tuff. Need some clear roads up to speed and quick stops. Starting at like 40-45 I think. 120 k on the stocks and 40k on the powerstop’s I notice no difference in them really. I just wish I’d had done the calipers ended up having to replace mine less than 10k later.

    With my 2008 Tacoma, now coming up on 10 years old with well over 200,000 K miles on it, I just recently replaced the rear brake shoes and drums with OEM. The front brakes I just changed out the pads, didn't change the rotors.

    Yes, the OEM brakes lasted all that time and even then some! Believe it or not when I recently (just last month, September) did the brake job on my Tacoma, I inspected the brake shoes and rotors and they still had enough on them to last well into the middle of this next coming year!

    Before actually realizing this and prior to actually inspecting the brakes, in the back of my mind I knew that the brakes would need to be replaced so I just went ahead and purchased new pads, shoes and rotors first without checking because I knew that eventually a brake job was going to be needed at some point or another.

    Once I already had everything needed, with the Tacoma jacked up and on jack stands, I just went ahead did the brake job.

    Now with the truck having all around new OEM brakes, my Tacoma stops fine!

    Oh and by the way I've owned my Tacoma since 2008, purchased brand new, drivin off the lot and it's just a regular SR5 PreRunner, V6 DCLB Tacoma not TRD.

    I have brembo rotors and hawk lts pads i would recommend them
