My 2009 4x4 access cab call for 245/75/16 (sticker on the door) tires, although I see 265/70/16 listed as well, the tires I want to purchase are not available in 245/75/16 but are available in the 265/70/16 Question, out side of having to get a different spare, is there anything I should be aware of? rim size? Thanks

A 265/70R16 is nominally .14" taller than a 245/70R16. It is also nominally .78" wider. Speedometer difference at 60 mph is .27 mph faster than the 245/70R16. None of that is enough to worry about.

edit= I'm not sure I'd even mess with getting a spare in that size.

I could use some re-assurance as well.

Below is a photo of my right rear tire on my 2004 Taco DCSB TRD. I'm pretty sure those are the stock rims. They sure look like the ones here: https://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/AC/8221-04030744.html which says they are 16x7.

Can someone confirm they are 7" wide rims, and I should have no problems mounting 245/75R16 tires as well? (I already know they fit 265/70R16 and 265/75R16.)

    Thx in advance.

Mount your 245/75R16's. You'll be fine.

Yes, they are 7-inches wide and you can verify this by looking on the backside of one of the wheels - the wheel should be stamped somewhere with 16x7J.

Tire size 245/75R-16 is safely run on a 7-inch wide wheel

Thank you guys for the warm fuzzies.

Thanks DiscountTire for the information about where to look on a wheel to see the size.
