Alright so I have a 2018 blazing blue Tacoma and I recently got a offer for a royal bed cap for 900$. It’s only a year old, but the only issue is it’s black, and I’m not sure if it would look good on my blue truck. What do you guys think? It’ll be my first official upgrade.

I'm a big fan of color-matched caps, but some two tones are pleasing to the eye.

But basically, it is your decision. If you don't like it after living with it, you can always get it painted to match.

You can get it. If you like it, leave it. If not, paint it

For that price I'd jump on it. You can get it painted to match your truck and still be ahead. Personally I think it'd look good as is. Black compliments most colors.

Black and blue color combination looks great if done right.

    Get it
    Option 1 leave it black
    Option 2 paint it blue
Option 3 vinyl wrap it blue
Option 4 if you don’t like it give it to me (is it for a long bed?)
    Option 5 sell it

    I like options 3 and mostly 4

You’ve got black fender flares, the black on blue would look pretty good.

It's gotta be color matched, even if you have to paint it. Anything else is ghetto.

    Get it.

If you’re in California, don’t buy it, and tell me where it is.

I'd say black works because the most popular softopper color is black and it looks good.

but for 2-400 you can paint or wrap it.

Black won’t look that bad with the blue. However since you have the OR the flares and stuff are more a flat where the cap is going to be gloss so it might look more out of place vs having the black on a sport

If it helps with your decision, I was quoted $2500 CDN for a color matched Cap-it shell- with no windows. Around $2800-$3000 for a windowed version.

If I found a black one for 900 USD I'd take it and run- to a paint shop to have it matched.
