Hello everybody. I am having a difficult time trying to find a roof rack that's under $300. I'm hoping someone may know of one that would fit a 40 inch light bar and in the same style as the Hooke Road roof rack. I've been looking but no luck finding one yet. I appreciate any help and direction you all can give me on this.

Have you tried looking for a decent used one? That's kind of where your budget and functional requirements puts you I think.

I don't mind getting something used . I looked a few times in a hundred mile radius on Facebook Marketplace but nothing at the time I searched that was within budget

I never said I was looking for those brands. I gave my example in the first post. I'm also open to any brand as long as it fits.

the same goes for any other quality brand whether that be RCI, CaliRaised, Westcott Designs, Prinsu, and so on.

there’s not much options besides that.
Hooke Road and factory plastic. Both not good. Both fit.

Can you squeeze an additional 100$ ? If so,a quick google brings this up. https://www.hookeroad.com/products/...MIu-3fqJ_ogwMV183CBB27Bwx_EAQYBCABEgJyQfD_BwE

Save your money, unless you have other plans than a 40" bar. They might look cool but not the most useful thing. If you want some auxiliary lighting ditch lights in a spot or driving pattern aimed right is 100X more useful and way cheaper.

Roof mounted light bars are like truck mullets.

If it were mine, I’d put it low between the bumper and the grille for better functionality and much less glare. At least look how much they reflect off a hood before you buy a rack and all, especially if you really want one.

Well thank you everyone for your suggestions and inputs. I got a lot to think about, I may just go ahead and spend the extra money.

Quick search on Amazon can get you one for a little over $300, no idea what the quality would be like but I think I have a pretty good idea. Save your money. I love my Prinsu and got it for under $600 shipped on Black Friday couple years back.

Well I ended up going with the hooke road. Did some more searching and found a coupon. Tried a bunch of codes and one finally worked. It was only 20 bucks but it's something, the money I saved on that I'm going to put towards something else.

I found my prinsu used for 500. I think that's about as good as it will get. Before 2020 you could get a hooke road for 250-270 on Amazon but that time has passed.

Update on the roof rack. It works great! installation was pretty easy had some trouble mounting the light bar but got some different brackets from Amazon. that solves the problem. There is some added wind noise but it's not unbearable I hardly notice it anymore now.

Thanks for looping back with an update. I'd love to see some photos if you have the time, especially the fitment around front where it meets the roof.
I've also looked at the Rough Country offering which is super similar, but goes for folded beams instead of extruded alu for the cross-members.
