I need some assistance finding a roof rack under $300

Have you run with your light bar on to check the glare? A buddy had a roof mounted light bar and the glare was miserable. Kept me from putting one on my RCI roof rack after seeing it.

 

Using a recessed mount helps alot. I had it mounted right up on the fairing of my prinsu and even with all spot pattern it wasn't great. Now with the prinsu brackets moving the bar back a bit it helped a ton with glare.


Hard to tell in the one picture but it's pushed back a good 2". Making sure the beam pattern is all spot or "driving" will help the most at keeping glare down.

if NLA, can be DIY'd

 

I've got a 30" Rigid in my bumper. Haven't felt the need to add a rack mounted one since it puts out plenty of light and there is zero glare.

 

I purchased the Hooke Offroad rack several years ago and have been happy with it. I did upgrade the crossbars to the Prinsu style a couple of years ago which made it nicer to attach things to it.
