Alright, I'm coming home from my tour in Iraq in a few days and while on R&R I bought a 2009 TRD Sport in white. I'm a boot ( newb ) when it comes to this. I'm lifting it 3'', I just don't know what size tires to go with, I was thinking 33s but, then again I'm not too sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to hear you are coming back soon, welcome home! 32's or 33's with a 3" lift are pretty much the norm. With 33's you'll have a bit of rubbing and need to do some trimming, but no big deal. For me, I like 33's with 17" rims, that is the best combo.

Thanks man, I'm ready to get back. How much do you think that whole combo would cost in USD? 33s w/17 inch rims and the 3'' lift. If its about $2,500-3000 I can get it done as soon as I get back which would be awesome.

The Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit $1149 or OME 3" Lift Kit (NOT THE SPACER ONE) $799, and depending on what wheel and tire combo you go with maybe around $1500. So if you have $3000 to spend then you should be solid. Also may want to look into aftermarket UCA's $500-1100 depending on what you get. New UCA's aren't needed, but are HIGHLY recommended to avoid wandering while driving and helps to bring alignment back to factory. Light Racing, Total Chaos, Camburg, and Icon brands are the most commonly used ones.

And yes you will be able to do all this as soon as you get back.

I've heard lots and lots of good things about that lift kit by ToyTec. I've never done one, so I'd obviously have to pay to get it done. Sounds like I'll be cutting it real close. I get one more deployment check so after the 15th I'll see if its going to be possible or not to get it done, haha. I'd love to get it done while I'm over here and have it ready by next week, but thats just not possible. I appreciate the advice guys.
