So my girlfriend has an uncle, that has a 1994 toyota pick up extended cab 4x4 5 speed sitting up in his yard. Thing looks like it has seen better days..... Anywho his wife (my gf aunt) said I can have it for free if I will just get it out of there yard. I dont know to much about the older yota pick-ups so any knowledge would be helpful. I know it does have manual locking hubs and a v6. Haha someone also put 3rd gen sr5 wheels on it lol. Any project ideas????? Just trying to get the juices flowing before I decide I want it to take on the thing. Thanks guys.

LOL ----well if it's just "dirty" I'd say go for it and clean it up...but if the interior and engine bay are torn up and you have to replace alot, I'd say not worth it.

If you can put 500 or less in it to get a working truck totally worth it.

And also only if you can get the smell of opossum pussy juice out of it

Looks like it's in pretty good shape to me. When is the last time it was run? Get any records on it? Maybe run the VIN on Toyota's site and see what's listed...

I have no other info. Idk any of the engines from then or what gears this bad boy may be running. My oldest yota so far was a 2002 4runner. So im just trying to get as much info as possible.

What's the frame look like? Make sure it's not ready to fold up like an accordion.

Go straight to the DMV and get titled in your name. That looks like a keeper to me.

If you decide clean this up remember to shampoo the headliner. A lot of people miss that when they’re detailing and wonder why they can’t get the smell out.

Looks like a project just to clean out the cabin. My take is if you have a place to keep it while working on it and it's free, why not. Might take you a year or more if you just diddle with it which is what I would do. If in a few months you decide it's too much for you to handle then just sell it. If no buyers, sell it for scrap. The key is having the space to keep it that doesn't "junk up" your property.
