No surprise, I want a Toyota because of their reliability. I have around 8-9 thousand to spend, though I'd like to be closer to 8. These are the things I'd like... 4x4, a V6, and a 5 speed. Do you think I could find these things within my budget? About how many miles should I be looking at? Feel free to ask me questions if need be.

    Also, I found this: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/4452025625.html
Talked the guy down to 7,500... something about buying a truck with nearly 250k miles on it though doesn't seem right.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on the year model you want really. For $8,000-$9,000 you could get a 2000 or older model with decent miles.

If you're dead set on an 01-04 then expect over 150,000 miles to get it under $10,000.

For the one you linked, just check the frame for rust and try to feel for any vibes when accelerating. Ask if they've done any water pump or timing belt maintenance as well.
