Hey guys, are the leaf springs between an extended cab and a double cab interchangeable? I have an 02 double cab with frowning leafs and I found a guy who picked his 03 v6 ext. cab apart. He has the leafs available. I just need to know if they will fit or not. Could you guys please help?

Unless they are free, doesn't seem like the effort is worthwhile. Yes they should work but do you really want someone else's worn out Tacoma springs?

Agreed.. Unless its free, pass on it unless you've actually seen them installed.

All Pro is having a group buy on a bunch of suspension parts, including new leafs in 3" or 5" lifts. If you have a lift, it might be worth the $350 for new springs.

I think you should get in on the allpro group buy and get some new springs.... It would be $350 - 20% (if we get enough people) = $280 + shipping

But they do have 3" or 5" of lift so you may need to get some new shocks to accomodate the lift.

Take the free ones to a spring shop and get the rearched while they are off and it will help and be cheaper than buying new ones.

Well the thing is they are not free. The guys wants $300 for them. I checked with wheeler off-road and its going to cost $315 just to ship their springs to Hawaii. So I am a little stumped right now as to what I should do.

Wow, what a racket. Your seller is really taking advantage of the cost of shipping.

Hhmmm......I wonder what Alaska Air would do when I try to "carry on" my old springs on my next visit to Maui. :D

Seriously, seems like you might be able improve on Wheelers shipping options. My guess is that the $300 quote was for UPS or FedEx. There are cheaper methods, no doubt slower but cheaper.

I know the guys at Relentless Fab are shipping a plate bumper that's gotta weigh in at ~110# to the islands. Probably by boat. 2 springs are gonna weight about the same. Send a PM to Timicha, he may bee able to point you in the right direction on shipping options.

    To much to list!
300 bucks is not a good price for used leafs. People find leafs all the time for around 100bucks. A lot of 5lug mini truck guys will use the prerunner/4x4 leafs to lower there trucks.

Funny, that's exactly what I sold my old leafs for. Yea, your best bet is to save up & get new ones.
