Ok so I try everything I can to figure out how to shut off this f**kn light and I cant. Local mechanic friend can read codes and that is it. I resolved to the fact that Im gonna go to dealer and pay 85$ bucks to have light shut off, I do it, all is well, time for sushi. So Im workn under the hood tonight trackn down another effen vibration sound and thinkn about paying money for nothing. Really, a friend of mine who weighs 340 sitting in my seat and I'm out 85$. Really? I dont know what Im more pissed about, the damn light or being a pussy and not raising hell about a 4 year vehicle having such an ignorant problem and insisting that it be fixed without an exhorbitant fee. I guess since I didnt buy it from them new I didnt feel at liberty to raise hell. But if it happens again>>>>>...?? If I so much as gently tapped the front bumper into a light pole in a parking lot, I'd understand. Maybe.
Anyway I love this truck, or wanna love it at least and I've already had more annoying issues in 8 months than 11 years of ownership with my T100 that has 255k and is '96.
Thanks for letting me vent yall. I shoulda probably put this somewhere else and Mods feel free to kill it if need be.

There oughta be a way to convert these passenger seats to on all the time so 4 shitty-ass sensors in each corner of these seats dont reach up and corn-hole you on the way to your wallet.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::confused:

Checked all that. No reason to suspect that. Solus scanner code=need zero point calibration test = bend over and take it like a man if u happen to have over 60k miles.

Am I wrong in asking why you didn't disconnect the battery and press the brake pedal a few times to discharge everything? Wouldn't that have reset the airbag light just like it does for many of the other lights? What am I missing?

So you discharged it too? What about pulling the fuses while it was disconnected? If none of that worked, then the ECU must be storing the current state of the airbag permanently. I guess that makes sense because it would be necessary for reconstructing the state of the airbags in case they didn't go off in an accident.

Nice! Hadn't considered that option. Either that or he'll have to do the driving and my skinny ass will ride shotgun.

True, also there are a lot of clock springs/spiral cable modules in the steering wheel assembly under airbag that are failing in these trucks.
