    Kinda stock
First of all I'm a California truck. I went to go get my smog check last week and didn't pass. I was 100 Nox over the limit. I have a feeling my cat is just about dead from all my abuse. I'm a 1999 so there is only one cat on my truck. My truck emission wise is almost stock. I'm running a CARB legal intake and headers. The guy who tested me said get the motor really hot and top off the tank with premium fuel since I'm pretty close to barely passing. So I could probably do some dounuts in the vacant lot near by and race down some side streets. My oil is pretty fresh. I've seen that emission test formula. Does that help? What about adding alcohol to the fuel? I heard that makes it run clean. What have you guys done? I just want to put off welding on a new cat for a few months.

drive around for an hour on the freeway. That should do the trick if your on the verge of needing a new one. It worked for me when i had an old school porsche with a cat that was taking a shit.

    ^This.

My parents owned a smog shop for most of my childhood and any borderline vehicle always passed by throwing in some premium and get that cat smoking hot.
