I thought my dealer was bad. They're still bad, but yours seems worse. Hope you get it all sorted out.

My dealer Toyota dealer experience that got me revved was not nearly as bad. Now Subaru of Manchester, NH - will never ever ever give them business again. I brought my truck in for the 10,000mi check-up at about ~12,300mi. I mentioned the squeaky leaf springs and that I noticed two spots on my rear diff, which my VIN is not on any of the recalls. (thanks to this forum's heads up). The checked both out and said the will remedy each issue, but they need to order the parts and give me a call when in about a 1week. Took my truck home and waited about three weeks - no cal, so I called the dealer. Of course they completely forgot, but said will order the parts ASAP and schedule when the parts are in. This does take about a week and the schedule to bring the truck in. My wife drops it off for me (out of my way, but she works a lot closer) in the morning and has a co-worker pick her up. At about 1 to 2pm, I get a call from the service adviser saying we need the truck overnight, the parts are not in. I said no problem, can you get my wife a loaner for the night and they flat out said NO. Okay, I get off the phone, but I am stewing - they made the appointment and told me the parts were in, I really was in no rush. So called back for the service manager and the service adviser would not put them on the phone, now I am really stewing. I ask for the General Manager - he refused to speak with me, so I left a voicemail explaining the situation. After about ~15 minutes my wife calls me and says the dealer offered a loaner. Overall, everything got resolved.

Was I wrong here asking for loaner?

Toyota Corp is a joke. Seriously. I've had multiple complaints about the truck, issues, an dealership and they have done absolutely nothing. Even when the service manager told me "We are not toyota, we are a service dept, you are wasting my time, my money and my mechanics time."

Toyota customer service is a joke.

Sounds about right to me. This is why taking a car to a dealership for anything short of severe warranty work is just not a good idea. Especially a rattle. Have to be realistic about who is doing the work...it's a bunch scrubs who couldn't care less about your car. Dealerships are the definition of trash tier. They shouldn't even exist but they supply too much tax to get them shut down.

What's the address that you sent to Toyota Corporate? The PO box in Plano Texas from their website? https://www.toyota.com/support/contact-us

That is the current one. Mine was a year and half ago, so I dealt with their Torrance HQ office.

Did you price a truck at https://www.uebelhortoyota.com/ in Jasper, IN. ? I bought my 4 popper over there and they gave me $2,000 off MSRP and no dealer costs. I'm going to trade my black Tacoma for either a silver Tacoma or RAV4 next spring. I'll give them a shot with there best price but I also hear Marion Toyota in Marion, IL. is a good place to buy a new truck.

Yeah man I won't let my local service dept. tear into my dash to clean my a/c system just for the plain fact that it may not remedy my a/c stank only for a month or 2 and I know darn well they would scratch/gouge my interior up. I would rather trade it off.

Sorry for your problems OP. I have had the same types of issues with several honda dealers (one involved me successfully suing the dealer) as well as an acura dealer. Corporate Honda was a joke as well in all three cases, hence no new Honda truck and instead a Toyota.

Stay persistent and give them the truck back to correctly fix. Be adamant about what they need to do. I'd bet you can eventually hit the requirements for a lemon law buy back and be done with the dealer and toyota BS.

Does this dealer have a small service department? A few people at the service desk?

That is pretty bad OP, plus scratching the interior!? I've only been to the local dealer once; for the 5k mile service a couple weeks ago. I had previously changed the tires to general grabbers, plus I bought a factory wheel for the spare and a matching grabber on the spare too. When I dropped it off they offered to rotate the tires, I said rotate the spare in too, then they called later and said I didn't have a matching spare. When I went over there they brought me to someone else's truck. Picked up (my) truck up later, now I realize the tire air pressure sensors are off, evidently they didn't move those? Guess I gotta go back over there.

Give a call to corporate Toyota, and the person you talk to will be typing it all up as you give your story and they will contact the dealership within 2 days.

I had to call customer service when my dealership messed up and lost or broke all 4 TPMS for my Team Trail wheels when I was trading in my truck. 2 weeks of pure BS of them not knowing what to do and giving me a Random check in my mail that didn't even cover the cost of my TPMS

So I feel your pain cuz I made a rant thread too 6months ago. Try not to yell at the dealership cuz it won't help the situation cuz they're the ones who will be working on it.

    Good luck OP
