smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
The replacement I will be installing will need to have pinion angle set, shock tabs made, bump pads made, and attachment for the abs made
All stuff that the truck needs to be there for to be figured out properly
And all needed to be done by a skilled and intelligent fabricator all thinks Kentucky is currently lacking.

Kinda the downside to building a prerunner/desert truck and living on the east coast is the only people around are rock crawler guys who don't even understand what they're looking at most of the time.

All of the fabrication work needed is being handled by a friend in California for very cheap as well as all of the other parts needed being available in California

It's a rather complex situation haha

You'll spend more on getting a cheap gear set installed properly, rather than just shipping the truck to CA ($600ish).

Shipping the truck has already cost me a stolen 1100$
And the average cost of shipping in most situations is 2.60-5.45$ a mile
    And it's 2700 miles

So do you have a buddy who will let you borrow his truck? Head to local uhaul, hitch up and hit the road. Drop truck and uhaul trailer off and head on home.

    OR

Rent a pickup from hertz/enterprise, hook up trailer and roll out. Drop all 3 off then fly home on cheap ass red eye flight

    1. No buddies with trucks big enough to tow.

    2. A truck and trailer comes out to 2800$ ish to rent it all for a week with insurance and the only option was United as all the others wouldn't rent to me for that far of a distance.

I guess I should have prefaced all of this post with the context of I have been trying to work a solution to all this crap since December

sounds to me like it would be perfect for you to make the drive back in the truck. Sure going 55 for the first 500 miles would suck, but after that the rest of the trip is smooth sailing. So no need to transport it back

The idea was to transport the truck to California
Get it fixed/rebuilt and then drive it home

I've made the drive about 8 times now
It sucks dick but I have to get the truck there before any of that even matters

Ahhh ok now we have a better idea. You hit up the local VFW Post to see if there are some retired fellas looking to do a road trip with their 3/4 diesel that I know 75% of them old fellas own?

Damn dude and not a one would help, that sucks balls. If I was near Kentucky I would be more than happy to hook up a trailer to the Tundy and road trip that bitch.

Whaaaaat about renting a truck from Lowe’s or Home Depot? Aren’t they like $20 a day?

They won't rent one way, and won't rent for that distance

I also tried calling Pods and Uship and even tried transport via train haha

What made it such a mess was taking it to Toyota, them having the truck for two weeks and then refusing to work on it after blaming the broken diff on my aftermarket shocks/wheels/tires

And then because the truck sat for two weeks they had to jump start it and when the 16yo kid did it he reversed the cables and blew up my switch pro when he sent the lines hot. And then Toyota cancelled my warranty and said nobody was near the truck when the system started smoking and caught fire

Well I think they're gonna figure it out when they ask where you are dropping it off
Or when you get to the destination and drop it off and they charge some astronomical fee.

    And if you read above
It's about 2800ish to rent a truck and trailer for a week with insurance

And the whole concept of this post is to find someone's factory gears for free or cheap AF
