I used to be in a manager position at a Lexus dealership and i would actually get bummed out when the the detail department porters would drill out the holes for the front bumper dealer license frame to be mounted to.I hate front license plates but in CA.it's a law and i've learned my lesson over the years to just leave the license frame and plate on because of fix it tickets.

It does include $0.30 worth of color matched paint and you're also not taking into account 6 passes with a spray gun, which is at least 5 minutes of labor.

I dont know whether the bumper covers are made out of TPO or another flexible plastic material. If you can find out, 3M makes a repair product. Use that then apply touch up paint.

To the OP - I'd be pissed too. Hope you at least get a free oil change or something for your trouble.

I'm taking my chances here in TX. Unless the cop is a TW regular, my story, "The dealer didn't put a frame on it so I figured it was allowed, but look, here's the other plate in my glove box right now, sorry I didn't know, I'll get it taken care of..." might hold up. Fix-it ticket at worst, if I'm polite and have insurance and inspection current? I see lots of (fancy) cars missing front plates around these parts, so I reckon they won't tag me for the plate only, but may make an issue if I get pulled over for some actual moving violation. Fingers crossed.

Don't like the front license plate location. I put 2 holes top of my skidplate to mount mine, front bumper looks cleaner w/o the plate mounted across it!

I gave up long ago worrying about my front plate. It's gotta be there. Multiple tickets later, I just drill the darn holes and put it on.

We bought the new Journey, and I just bought a nice mount off epay, and threw it on there.

I made sure when i bought my new truck that they didnt do it. see a lot of vehicles running around here with the front plate dealer advertisement as NC does not require a front plate. I would have made them replace the bumper cover. I hate front plates and worse when they make holes to put an advertisement on your truck when you dont even need a front plate.

Why would you even bother with those plugs when you could have just bought a new one? Noob.
