stances (that fork) are garbage! you could do much better. save up a bit and dont cheap out. you will regret cheaping out. bent rims, bent derilleurs and worn out parts are a common occurrence on cheap used bikes.

^ what he said. but instead of spending a ton on stuff right out of the gate, research it a bit, pinkbike.com and nsmb.com are great sites full of info. if you can maybe rent a bike and try it out for the first bit and if you like it maybe buy a cheap one. one that will satisfy your needs but at the same time if you find this is not for you, your not at a big loss with the bike.

So jealous you have a condo up there:drool: Ya then you should definitely get a bike if you are gonna ride a lot. But a good bike is probably gonna cost you. Good luck finding a good one that is used and in good condition at a decent price. Ya there is only one place in Simi Valley off Rocky Peak Road that I know of for some DH, that I hit up with my bike. I am not getting a season pass, too much money for only 1 or 2 trips up there, for a total of 4 days mountain biking.

yea i would have to agree. Ive been riding a hard tail on trails and doing some minor DH stuff (as much as you can in a hard tail), so it was time for an upgrade. Taking my first trip with it on the 21st of june if all works out

That bike looks like a blast to ride! You can't go wrong with Giant Bikes. I have a Giant AC from 2002 or 2003 that I still ride today with all the original parts on it, nothing has broken. You made a good choice. I can't wait till mammoth opens btw
