The 4S supports the 4th generation of GSM data, HSDPA, which is technically 4G. If you were talking about 4G LTE, which I wasnt, then no...the iPhone doesn't support it. You should watch who you call dumb as rocks kid...

Sorry, I forgot what he said exactly. He just told me it was his third one in two months actually...the first two stopped working after a week, some major freezing issues he said.

Wrong. HSDPA, HSPA, HSPA+...all 3G. "Technically"...all part of 3GPP, which is not the same as 4G.

Sorry, disagree, it's regared as fourth generation...hence the 4G nomenclature. It really all boils down to marketing hype though, I'll give ya that...

It was 3G...then they changed the definition of 4G so now it's "technically" 4G. It's amazing how magically T-mobile got a 4G network over night.

Wow. 4G does not stand for 4th Generation. And it's not marketing hype, it's vast technical differences.

LOL, credibility on a truck forum? Thankfully, fulfillment in such things doesn't drive my existence.

I'm not fighting anything. I stated many posts back that I don't care either way, people just keep feeding into it. This thread has made for some good comic relief today while I'm laying out a pretty boring road alignment...
