I picked up a new Supercharger & fit Kit for $3200

I picked up a new in box Supercharger with Fit kit for $3200 shipped to me.

Did I get a good price?

 

Where did you manage to get that from?

 

I bought it from someone who totaled their Tacoma before getting a chance to install it. His insurance cover the loss and he went to a Tundra, he was looking to S/C the tundra now.

Is a supercharger a DIY install?

 

i love that you made a poll haha. . . but yeah that is a good deal man. i would love one, but don't have the 4-5k they can be. good find, enjoy.

 

Well if you don't do it right say bye bye to your engine...haha.
You need to get all the clearances right and make sure its sealed up good.

forgive my noobness, but what kind of HP is gained with a TRD Supercharger? what about gas mileage? worse I guess??

 

I've got a line on one too, but the thought of having to buy premium, and the likelihood of having my foot in it more (i.e. worse than my already 13.4mpg ) scared me sober - for now.

Make sure you have a transmission cooler. A fuel filter and pump relocation kit from LC Engineering is also in order. The stock pump and filter have a hard time keeping up with the increase in demand.
