Probably could have been on your 18th Tacoma with that $$$, brother in law and sister had to go this route too. But since you're a doctor you probably saved a bit on the delivery cost / care ;)

Stay on topic...did the doctor have more Tacoma knowledge than op or no?

Turd gen focussed even? We need a poll

    I say nay.

Title should have been, “I have more money that I know what to do with. I’m confused and would like public opinion to know if I going in the right direction”.

Maybe a show down between OP and the Tacoma doctor.

We could do a Pro Grille install off, you know since that is the only way to know if you're the ultimate Turd gen owner.

Well if a BMW Toyota love child can sell for $2 million why not a turd gen.

I love the way it looks, but its ruined in every other aspect (BMW interior, powertrain and no f**king manual).

Installing a pro grill on a TRD is like putting TRD stickers on an SR5. Kinda lame if you ask me

Some share your opinion, others don’t. I think there is a middle ground that allows TRD Pro components on non-TRD Pro models. After all, Toyota even options TRD Pro components on non-TRD Pro models. You can get an Tacoma SR packaged with TRD Pro wheels. The breaking point is putting TRD Pro decal on a non-TRD Pro, that’s a no-no.

Not really true, you can't option TRD Pro parts on your non PRO truck from the factory, those are dealer add ons or aftermarket accessories purchased / add ons. And agree, even worse is the door badging on non Pro models, I also don't get the sport guys who go and put the non color matched fenders and front facia on to look like an Offroad or PRO.

I think the pro grille is fair game. It’s a heritage grille. If you adore Toyota’s, and it’ll fit, and you like the grille, it works. I think all Toyota models should have that heritage grille option.

I wouldn’t put a TRD sticker on my SR. Because my SR is a sport rally 5’er.
