Yes, it’s true that Toyota allows these options. If not, Toyota would limit TRD Pro parts for TRD Pro models only.

I will bet you money you cannot order a non PRO from the factory with PRO wheels, grille, etc. You can buy them from the dealer, yes and a few of the TRD accessories you can add like the exhaust and shift knob from the factory, but the PRO specific items are not from the factory on non PRO models.

I said Toyota “allows” TRD Pro components on non-TRD Pro models. You invoked the notion of ordering a Tacoma with TRD Pro components from the factory.

And now that I’ve given it some thought, there is an option package that designates TRD Pro wheels.

Lol, yep, I got a problem man. Cement Taco was Primer Taco actually. Ya I apologized to TCBob for all the name changes and promised him no more.

Yes, there is. I’ve seen multiple in my locale with the optional package.

Its not a factory option, guarantee it. Maybe dealer package add on or regional.

I can get behind alot of his thought process/advice, but sometimes he comes off very condescending on his podcasts or alittle misinformed, last one I listened to he told a teacher to just pay off their student loans without considering / advising the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, which I get debt snowball, no debt is best, but she would lose a ton just paying it all off at once instead of using this program to have a portion forgiven, even with interest she still basically threw away some money paying off the entire thing at once instead of completing the program.

It’s an option package in my area—Toyota Southeast. Here’s one that was on my local dealer lot some time ago. I didn’t get a photo of the window sticker, but it would have shown the optional package, which includes TRD Pro wheels, black decal overlays, Predator steps, etc. I stand by my statement that Toyota allows TRD Pro options on non-TRD Pro models.

Precisely, that is a port option / regional package, not from the factory and no one said it wasn't allowed, just not a factory option, its added at the port.
