It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
Absolutely pissening. I usually trailer my bikes, even the dirt bike. But you have me second guessing the bed rack I just ordered to put my RTT on. I like not covering up the sunroof and having the weight a little lower but it sure would be sick to take the bike on off roading trips.

Thanks mang. Trailering my bike was out of the question, specifically for the adventuring idea....Just because I dont want to worry about a trailer. The RTT only goes on the day before I go out, and comes off the day after I return. I'm not a fan of how high it makes the truck look when I have no gear loaded in the back. The height/weight change is noticeable, and the MPG with that much wind resistance (and all the weight in the bed) almost 2mpg less so I keep it off when I'm not rolling out.

I'm not a fan of the bedrack, IMO, why did you get a truck if you're just gonna cover the bed up?

The rack is from RCI. It only takes a couple minutes to remove it. Obviously you can still put the cooler, tool boxes, camp gear and all the other shit in the bed. Just not a bike. I was planning to keep the tent on for extended periods, perhaps even permanently. So I do like having it lower. I'm also in the southeast, so we don't really have any deserts or cool places to ride like you. Anytime I'm on the dirt bike I'm either going to a MX track or OHV park. I need to deeply contemplate this.

Maybe the bedracks I looked at were lower, but thats legit if you can still use the bed. Alot of dudes have the perma bedrack tent, but they dont ride dirt like us. Sometimes I forget that not everyone has paradise in their back yard so a trailer could do just fine for you probably. But putting the tent on is definitely a two person job, and like I said, It doesn't look great sitting on top all the time so I take it off. If its gonna be a perma-tent, I'd go with the bedrack.

They are pretty damn pricey...but the bedracks from Leitner Designs have an adjustable rear cross bar which lets you load tall stuff in back if the RTT isn't on the rack.

Slid down a rock doing some mild rock crawling last month. What good is modding your truck if you dont get some battle scars?

Not right now. Its on my to do list. I want to perma-mount the fridge, so when I camp/dirtbike without the tonneau it just sits there, and with the tonneau on I can drop the tail gate and slide it out instead of unhinging the tonneau. It will happen probably 4 months from now as dirtbike season starts again. Right now I dont have the desire to see if the fridge slide and the fridge fit vertically with the tonneau over it.
