I've been looking at the 2011 Mini Cooper S Hardtop and man I don't know something about it i really like.

Perhaps the 6-speed manual and that BMW now owns mini and the rather quick 0-60 and good gas mileage, but don't get me wrong i still love my truck...it's better than a smartcar anyways :p

So any comment's about the Mini Cooper? Performance? Reliability? Pros/Cons?

Don't know anything about reliability but last week I drove my uncles mini s and that thing is do damn fun to drive. I never thought they were that quick and responsive. I can see many people making the mistake of trying to take one at a stop light:D

Brother-in-law has one and he loves it. Was going to get a three series BMW but got a Mini instead?

My friend had an 07 and the tranny went out at 70k. Apparently this is an issue with the older ones but I believe the new ones have corrected this.

street raced the fuck out of one with my WRX (this was in China, cops dont really give a shit about what happens on the roads lol), killed it, cooper S too, those things have good horsepower to wieght, but good luck trying to keep those tires stick on a fast start.

I kinda wanted one for awhile. They look like you could customize the hell out of them.

Yeah, buying a Mini is like buying a BMW, after all it's made by BMW now lol.

And I know the Mini Cooper S is pretty damn quick, and i really like the 6 speed manual, only thing that will make me worry is reliability. Toyota has proven to me they make reliable cars and trucks because we've had toyotas in my family for over 10 years. Never a single problem.

Fun as hell and one of the best handling cars on the road but they have reliability issues.

My sister has '03 she loves it. When she first got it, people wanted to race at lights, and she blew them out of the water. The only one that is all wheel drive is the countryman all4. She really hasn't had problems w/it and has well over 100k.

Yeah guys, the AWD model is only the Countryman, Would be cool too if the two door model had it too...

I've heard mixed things, a friend of mine had a Mini Cooper S that was 04 or 05, and eventually the transmission gave out, but i dont know if he abused it or how many miles...

I got to look into this. I know nothing above coopers. Maybe he is blowing smoke, but I know it is the 200hp rated two door and it is fun to drive!! :)

I know! The 2011 Cooper S has a Turbo I4 producing 180~HP, and a 0-60 time of about 6.5-7seconds. fastttt car right there.

Installed footwell lighting on a Cooper, nice car, but I believe the downside is the cost of repairing anything that goes wrong.

my cousins both have mini's. one manual one auto. We took the manual to disneyland one day and granted, he was driving like such a douche, but when we got out of the car, all you could smell was a burning clutch. Sure enough, the next day, his clutch was blown. Definitely seemed like fun to drive...but not for very long :D

Yeaahh, but i wouldn't need to worry about repairs if it's reliable lol.

I know friend's who have Fords, Chevys and Jeep "in the shop" all the time, but my truck never has "been in the shop".
